HARTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Michigan State Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who injured a 40-year-old Brighton woman.
The woman was riding her bicycle along Northbound Old 23 near Bergin in Hartland Township when she was hit. The force of the impact threw her into the ditch and destroyed her bicycle.
She is being treated at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Her current condition hasn't been released.
Police believe the car that was involved in the accident is either a Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Stratus from the 2001-2002 model years.
The vehicle is believed to have damage to the front passenger side bumper. It is also believed to have other damaged from the accident, including a missing passenger side mirror and housing.
