HARTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Livingston County Sheriff's Department confirms that one person was killed in a crash in Hartland Township.
The driver was killed when the vehicle slammed into a tree near Cullen and Crouse, north of M-59 around 1:00 p.m.
An investigation is being conducted, but it appears the driver may have been going too fast for road conditions. The dirt road was snow-covered and very slick.
Deputies say the person's body was in such bad shape that they could not immediately identify if the person was a man or a woman.
