HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Milford woman is charged with failing to stop at the scene of a serious injury accident. The Macomb County Sheriff's department says Margaret Fronczak is the driver who hit 17-year-old Kara Duquet who was riding her bike home from work in Harrison Township.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Department the teen was riding her bike on Jefferson near Crocker Road. The teen was going south in the northbound shoulder when a driver veered onto the shoulder and slammed into her.
Witnesses say the driver did not stop. They described the car as a 2003-2007 black Toyota Corolla.
Kara is out of Intensive Care but her family says she has several broken bones including her femur, pelvis and jaw. Kara is expected to walk again after therapy.
