WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) - Officials say an obese woman who was pulled from her Warren home last Tuesday has died.
The unidentified woman apparently died at the hospital Monday morning. The exact cause of death is not yet known.
It was just under a week ago that HAZMAT crews were called to the woman's home in an apartment complex at 12 Mile and Gloede.
They needed to knock down a doorwall in order to free the woman.
At the time, officials said the woman weighed between 500 and 700 pounds. She was also reportedly suffering from a broken hip that occurred several years ago.
Officials said the woman was laying in her own waste and was covered in bedsores.
The woman was married and the couple had four children. Child Protective Services was called in to check on the children.
