WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) - The eastbound lanes of I-696 in Warren have reopened after a serious accident involving a Michigan State Police trooper.

The three-car crash happened around 8:30 Tuesday morning on I-696 at Hoover.

Police say the trooper pulled over a vehicle for speeding when his car was struck by a cab driver. The trooper was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
