HARRISON TWP. (WXYZ) - A wild truck ride ended with the vehicle landing on top of a boat.

Randy Janssen was standing under his shed near his boat at the Blue Lagoon Marina in Harrison Township Saturday evening when a truck barely missed him. Witnesses say the driver, a 24-year-old man from Eastpointe, was doing donuts in the parking lot.

As he was about to leave, the driver lost control and the truck launched into the air, finally coming to rest on top of two boats.

“It’s totaled,” said Janssen, looking at his boat. He estimates the damage is $10,000.

Neither the driver nor his female passenger had any serious injuries.

The driver’s name is being withheld pending an arraignment. He was held overnight in jail, but posted the $100 bond Sunday.
