EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Victoria Page never thought she would become the victim of a crime in the safety of her Eastpointe home, but early Friday morning two robbers made her their target.
"I heard a noise and thought it was the cat," said Page.
But when the 65-year-old went to investigate, she found two men standing in her kitchen.
The intruders grabbed Page when she tried to run. They covered her head with a blanket, then took her shoelaces off and used them to tie her feet and hands.
The men carried Page into her basement and put her on a bed.
"I thought they were going to smother me to death," Page told 7 Action News.
The robbers stole cash and Page's silver 2003 Dodge Caravan with the license plate 0HX J36.
Anyone with any information on the home invasion or the stolen minivan is urged to call Eastpointe Police.
