HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A vague graffiti message was found in a bathroom at L’Anse Creuse Middle School in Harrison Township sent the school into a semi-lockdown.
A student reported it to administrators Wednesday morning. School officials said classes continued.
“In order to do a proper investigation, the school went into what’s called a semi-lockdown in which the students are maintained in their class. Instruction continued as normal,” said school spokesperson Michelle Irwin.
Some students inside the school sent text messages to parents during the semi-lockdown.
Frightened parents alerted police.
“Unfortunately some things got out of hand but everything is perfectly fine,” said Irwin.
Administrators tell 7 Action News there were no weapons found and the kids were never in any danger.
