Hairstylist to the stars helps ill children in Metro Detroit

SAINT CLAIR SHORES (WXYZ) - Terrence Davidson, who usually clips celebs' bangs like Nicki Minaj, is putting his scissors to use in Saint Clair Shores.

The celebrity hairstylist is helping to raise money for Wigs 4 Kids. The non-profit organization provides free wigs to children who have lost their hair from illness and treatment.

"I love to be able to give back and help others," said Davidson. His mother lost her hair when she fought cancer with chemotherapy. He says wigs can help uplift the patient. "It was so convenient and easy to make that happen for her, I would like to make that happen for others as well, especially for kids."

Davidson spent Wednesday styling and customizing wigs for 10 children, who will attend the Wigs 4 Kids fundraiser this evening.

Each wig can cost $800 to create, but is free to children.

Wednesday's fundraiser is public and runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Barrister Gardens. That's located at 24225 Harper Ave in Saint Clair Shores.
