CLINTON TWP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A man accused of bullying a Clinton Township police officer online pleads guilty to two counts.
Jeremy Wakeman, 32, created a fake Facebook profile page for the police officer who gave him a traffic ticket last May.
Wakeman was arrested after some of the posts were interpreted as harassment.
His attorney, Carl Malinga, told Action News the posts were immature, but only meant to be a joke.
The jury deliberated for more than four hours Wednesday, but before it returned a verdict, Wakeman pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful posting of a message and another count of using a computer to commit a crime.
Wakeman’s plea deal means he will most likely not serve any jail time. His sentencing is scheduled for March 13.
