CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A man has been charged with First Degree Murder and Criminal Sexual Assault in the murder of a 47-year-old Clinton Township woman.
Joseph James Pagan was arraigned on the charges Tuesday and ordered held without bond.
He is charged in the death of Jackie Neuman, who was found dead in her home on Rosedale Drive on Saturday.
Friends suspected something was wrong when Neumann failed to show up for volunteer work on Tuesday with the Salvation Army.
Friends say Neumann's 12-year-old son lives primarily was with his father, but often spends time with his mom.
Officials say Jackie died by asphyxiation and that the details were so horrific they did not want to discuss it.
