MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Opening statements are underway in the trial of Ihab Maslamani.
The prosecution began shortly after 10:00 a.m.
The trial opened Tuesday morning after, shortly after the jury was seated. The jury consists of eight women and six men.
Maslamani is accused of killing Matthew Landry in 2009.
Landry was carjacked on August 9, 2009 from an Eastpointe Quizno's parking lot. Days later, he was found murdered in an abandoned home in Detroit.
