Police in Roseville are searching for two suspects who robbed J & W Smokers on Utica Road Labor Day afternoon.
Surveillance video shows the lone employee being held up at gunpoint. A suspect orders him to the ground and ties his hands behind his back with duct tape. Both suspects can be seen filling huge bags with cigarettes. At one point, a friend of the employee stops by with some dinner and she too is ordered to the ground and tied up.
The suspects spent about 9 minutes in the store. Police say they got away with at least $10,000 worth of cigarettes.
Fortunately, the victims were not hurt. They managed to break free of the duct tape and call 9-1-1.
Investigators are hoping someone will recognize the suspects and call Roseville police right away. One of the suspects has a bandage on his left temple.
Police say the suspects may be connected to other crimes in surrounding communities.
