CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A tanning salon worker is charged with using a cell phone camera to watch a female customer who was in the tanning booth.
Twenty-two-year-old Eddie Hakim from the "Baja Booth" tanning salon in Clinton Township is facing 2 years behind bars if convicted.
Candace Imbrunonie says she was naked and just getting out of the booth when she saw a hand holding a cell phone leaning over the wall of the room, directed right at her.
The 48-year-old Imbrunonie says she knew there was only one other person in the salon, the young man at the front desk. She says she ran out of the salon, drove to a fast food restaurant and called police.
Imbrunonie says Hakim admits he did it but said he wasn't taking pictures, just monitoring her in the room. She says she doesn't believe that and she thinks he has done this to other women.
Imbrunonie tells Action News that this incident has changed her life. She feels paranoid, is getting counseling and always feels she is being watched. Barring a plea deal for Hakim, she will have to testify in court.
Action News tried to contact Hakim and his lawyer, but no one returned our calls.
