WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Warren Fire Marshall is working to find out what caused a second fire at a condo building.

Firefighters first responded to the building in the 29000 block of Eldorado Plaza on Friday afternoon. They put out a fire in a home there, then left.

Saturday morning around 6:30 they were called back out to the building. The home was on fire again. This time the flames quickly spread to surrounding condo homes.

At least five families lost their homes.

“I lost everything I own,” said Margaret Thompson.

She said she had seen as many as 9 kids living in the condo where the fire started.  They were described as being from toddlers to teens.

“It could have been a tragedy if someone had been hurt, one of those kids,” said Thompson.

Rumors are flying out at the scene about how the fire started.  Neighbors are hoping the investigation finds answers soon.
