FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Blaring sirens from police cruisers and ambulances disrupted a peaceful evening at the Detroit Beach Subdivision in the aftermath of a dog attack Saturday night.

A 16 year-old girl had to be taken to the hospital after at least one dog, possibly more, mauled her inside a home. Neighbors say they saw the teen being carried out on a stretcher – it appeared she was awake and talking to EMT’s.

Animal Control removed 9 dogs they describe as Boxers.

Action News knocked on the door of the house in question. Nobody answered the door. It’s not clear if the owners will face charges.
