MONROE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police have released a composite of a suspect in the Thursday morning robbery of a Sunoco.
It happened shortly after 5:00 a.m. at the Sunoco Gas Station on South Telegraph in Monroe Township.
Police arrived on the scene in response to a holdup alarm. Workers told deputies that a white man entered with a handgun and demanded the cash from the cash register.
He ran off with an undetermined amount of money.
Police searched the area using K-9 units and the Michigan State Police helicopter but were unable to find the suspect.
The suspect is described as in his early to mid 60s with gray stubble. He is between 5'8" and 5'9" and weighs between 200 and 215 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing black rimmed sunglasses, a dark (possibly black) coat with a hood, a gray or black winter cap and blue jeans.
