TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - Thousands laced up their shoes Friday morning in the fight against breast cancer.
It's that time of year again where people make a 60-mile journey around metro Detroit.
A sea of pink flooded the Oakland Mall parking lot in Troy Friday morning for the Opening Ceremony of the Susan G. Komen Michigan 3-Day for the Cure .
Participants raise a minimum of $2,300 and walk an average of 20 miles a day for three straight days.
Closing Ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. at Ford Headquarters in Dearborn.
