PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - The 7 Action News morning team helped serve in the community today.
They joined with members of the Detroit Lions at the St. Vincent de Paul nutrition center in Pontiac.
Anchors Alicia Smith and Vic Faust, along with Keenan Smith and Erin Nicole were among the celebrity servers who worked to feed the homeless today.
The Lions' Kyle Vanden Bosch and Maurice Stovall also took time to lend a helping hand to those in need during the lunch hour.
The center has been serving the needs of people in Pontiac and Oakland County since 1984.
And we will be teaming up with St. Vincent de Paul on Thursday for an 18-hour telethon.
It's the 5th annual "More for the Poor Program" to help people during the holidays.
It will kick off Thursday on 7 action news at 5am and it will run all the way to midnight.
We will also have special coverage during all of our newscasts.
