(WXYZ) - Brian Olatunji needs your vote! The West Bloomfield man is now a top ten finalist in a contest to be a co-host on Live with Kelly Ripa.

The news came Monday morning on the 'LIVE! with Kelly' show.

Olatunji, who is going by "Brian O." for the competition, is an up and coming NHRA Funny Car driver. You can see some of his charm in his audition video.

If he makes it through the next round of voting, Brian Olatunji will be among five contestants who travel to New York in the next step of their quest to be a co-host with Kelly Ripa.

Fans can vote for him by going to www.CohostSearch.com .

You can also vote through Twitter. Mention "Brian Olatunji" and use the hashtag # CohostSearch.

You have until Wednesday, July 11 at 3:00 p.m. to vote. You can vote once a day.

Olatunji joined us on 7 Action News over the weekend where he did a great job as he sat with anchor Glenda Lewis.

Until Monday morning, Olatunji was joined by another local man in the competion. Chris Butzlaff  of Canton is the Public Address Announcer for the Plymouth Whalers. He did not make it through this latest round of voting.
