BLOOMFIELD TWP., Mich. (WXYZ) - A man was killed Saturday night in Bloomfied Township while trying to repair his vehicle.
The accident shut down part of Telegraph Road just south of Orchard Lake Road for several hours.
According to police, a 2011 Ford Pickup Truck ran into a disabled 1992 Toyota Camry in the left lane. At the time of the crash, the owner of the Camry was underneath the vehicle attempting to assess repairs.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger inside the Camry was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The driver of the Ford was not injured.
Neither alcohol nor speeding appear to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
