ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The arraignment for a janitor accused of sexual assault at the MediLodge Nursing Home in Rochester Hills has been delayed until Thursday morning.

The man was locked up after a nurse's assistant  reported she found him in the room of an 84 year-old Alzheimer's patient with his pants down Monday afternoon.

She saw the patient was fully clothed and sitting in her wheelchair. She told investigators she saw the janitor was facing the patient with his pants and underwear pulled down.

Several workers at the nursing home told Action News he begged the staff member not to report him, but she did report the alleged incident to a supervisor. Deputies arrived and took him into custody.

Investigators believe there's a possibility of two prior similar incidents within the past six months. The possible victims involved include a 94 year-old resident and a 69 year-old resident.

Chellsea Petersen, who works at the nursing home, says she was with the 84 year-old resident after the alleged incident.

"To see the look on her face tore me apart .. depressed, upset. She wasn’t able to vocalize it."

However, Petersen says she could see in the woman's facial expression and in her eyes something was wrong.

"It scares me", said Samantha Saide, whose mother has been at MediLodge for five years."It makes my stomach turn for the woman and her family."

Investigators said they are concerned there could be other victims.

The janitor is a 51 year-old Orion Township resident. He has worked at the facility for three years.

Action News did talk to the manager of the nursing home, but she had no comment. This case will be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday.
