(WXYZ) - Oakland County authorities confirm they have recovered the body of a 21-year-old missing swimmer .
Late Friday morning, the search turned from a hopeful rescue mission to efforts to recover the body of the young man who had been described as a good swimmer.
Investigators say Lucas Zaima had been partying and drinking with friends on the lake in West Bloomfield Township.
The Oakland County Marine Division Dive Team located Zaima's body in about 90 feet of water. He was from Beverly Hills.
About seven people were on board the boat when they decided to go swimming. The victim's friends told police it was around 1 a.m. Friday when they noticed he was no longer on the boat. However, they didn't see him go under water.
Sonar equipment detected something in the very deep waters of Walnut Lake and the dive team was able to recover the body.
