PONTIAC, Mich (WXYZ) - People who live in an apartment on Carriage Circle Drive in Ponitac say bed bugs are keeping them awake at night and making their lives miserable.

Liz Vick says she had so many bites on her arms and legs she took pictures and then kept the bugs in a jar to show managment.  She says the managment has tried some high heat treatments and she has tried to fumigate but the little biters just keep coming back.

Many of the people who live in the HUD high rise say their bed sheets are covered with blood spots from the bites they get during the night.

They say the tiny bugs are a huge problem and it feels like they have taken over.  The residents say they sleep in the day because the bugs are much more active at night.

County officials say because bed bugs aren't a disease, there is nothing the county can do other than educate people on how to try to get rid of them.
