SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Black Friday shoppers are also spending their money where they think they can get it back.

Instead of picking up all the deals, some people took time to pick out lottery numbers.

At three Southfield party stores, morning lines were long with people hoping to take home either the $41 million Mega Millions Jackpot or the $325 Million Powerball.

"Hopefully I win and I can spend much more this holiday season" said Catherine Stapleton who was buying her tickets before heading back home to Ohio.

The Mega Millions drawing was Friday night! The numbers were 8-37-44-47-48 and the Mega ball was 27. No one took home the jackpot. It has now grown to $49 million.

The Powerball drawing is Saturday!
