FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - 7 Action News has learned that Salvatore Cipriano is improving after a brutal attack that killed his father, and left him and his mother in critical condition.

Cipriano's caregivers say he had one of his best days since being admitted in the hospital with severe injuries.

The hospital says he has been much more responsive with his physical therapy. He even assisted in supporting himself while sitting up and was able to follow directions much better.

He is still considered in critical condition, but the hospital may lean more toward serious condition.

Salvatore is now breathing on his own and his blood pressure is good. His mother, Rose Cipriano, is also recovering. Her condition was recently upgraded from critical to serious condition. She was moved to a rehabilitation center.

In the early morning hours of April 16th, Tucker Cipriano and Mitchell Young reportedly killed Tucker's father Bob Cipriano and beat his mother and brother, Rose and Salvatore Cipriano with a baseball bat..

Tucker's 8-year-old sister and another brother were also in the home and witnessed the attack.

Tucker Cipriano and Mitchell Young appeared in court Wednesday for their preliminary hearing. They are charged with the murder of Bob Cipriano and the beating of Rose and Salvatore.
