BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - A real warrior is being honored by Brother Rice High School for 25 years of dedication.
He's Mike Cassidy.
He has developmental disabilities but you might have to point that out to the students and staff at the school.
They’ve honored him with a commemorative brick.
Mike is fully involved with the sports program, working with the football and basketball teams.
In his down time Mike's a custodian at the school.
His nephew, a junior at Brother Rice, explains just how proud he is in a YouTube video.
Mike was honored at the school's Silver Society Ceremony along with media center specialist JoAnne Christie.
