CLARKSTON, Mich. (WXYZ) - People living in Clarkston are encouraging local stores to sign a pledge not to sell K2.
It's sold legally in places like gas stations and convenience stores as an herbal incense, but is illegal to smoke and health experts warn it can have dangerous side effects.
Several store owners in Clarkston have agreed not to sell K2 or Spice and have posted a flyer in their windows to show their opposition to the product.
A group has launched a website that promotes stores who have signed the pledge. The site also lists stores that have refused to sign the pledge and may still be selling K2.
There is also information about how people can get involved in the effort to keep K2 out of Clarkston.
