PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - A couple linked to the stabbing death of an elderly Royal Oak woman are scheduled to be sentenced Friday.
Last month, a jury found Alan Wood guilty in the 2011 murder of 80-year-old Nancy Dailey.
Police say that Wood and his girlfriend, Tonia Watson, brutally beat Dailey then slit her throat.
Watson cut a plea deal with prosecutors in exchange for her testimony against Wood. She is charged with second-degree murder.
A jury found Wood guilty on all counts, including first-degree murder. He faces mandatory life in prison when he is sentenced at 8:30 a.m. in Oakland Circuit Court.
