AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Detroit Pistons Dance Team is looking for new members.
And they're holding auditions this weekend at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
All participants are required to wear dance attire and must submit a headshot and resume at registration.
Registration is set for Saturday, July 28 at 8:00 a.m. in the West Atrium and initial auditions will begin at 9:00 a.m. The preliminary round will consist of two sets of choreography - one jazz short routine and one hip hop routine. Dancers will learn the first routine and audition in groups of eight in front of a panel of judges before the first cuts are made.
Dancers will then learn a second routine and audition in smaller groups in front of the judges. Dancers who make it through the second round of cuts will advance to the semi-finals which will be held on Sunday, July 29.
Dancers must be 18 years or older by October 1, 2012.
