SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - A former drug dealer was given a 2nd chance and he's using film to keep others from going down the same path.

DeWayne Wilkerson was a convicted crack dealer and served 11 years behind bars.

While in jail Wilkerson wrote a movie and once he was released he had a plan to make his dreams come true.

Wilkerson's movie was shown at the Millennium Center in Southfield Saturday night.

He hopes that his film can impact the lives of others-- especially youth who are faced with life-changing decisions each day.
