EMPIRE, Mich., (WXYZ) - The Orchard Lake dad who was the center of a 12 hour manhunt at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, heads to court Wednesday.
Daniel Elliot is being held in a Petosky jail and will be charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.
Police say the 50-year-old husband and father disappeared with his three children after a fight with his wife.
A search team went looking for the missing family and eventually found them safe and sound Monday night at the lakeshore. We're told they spend the night in the woods without food, water or shelter.
