(WXYZ) - According to a national survey, 23% of women now own a gun—up 10% from just five years ago.
Whether it’s over fear or fun, women are starting to make up a big part of the gun market.
Some are heading to the shooting range in groups for a ladies night out. They’re buying pink accessories to go along with their handguns.
A trainer at Action Impact in Southfield tells us women make up about half of their concealed pistol license classes.
Another business, Top Gun in Taylor offers half prices for women on Mondays and target training is free—you just have to provide your own ammo.
