Firefighters respond to small explosion at facility in Troy

TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Troy Fire Department remains on the scene of a small explosion at the MGA Research Corporation on Elliot Drive near Deqindre.

According to Troy Fire Lt. Paul Firth, an employee mixed some water with a small amount of anti-freeze and put it into a pressurized chamber. 

A short time later the container blew up and caused water to spill through the inside of the small plant and dislodged some ceiling tile.

Initial reports of a roof collapse turned out to be false.  

There are were no reports of any injuries.
