WIXOM, Mich. (WXYZ) - Wixom City Council is expected Tuesday night to consider a request by Ford Motor Co. to split up the old Wixom Assembly Plant.
The Dearborn-based automaker is trying to sell nearly a 50-acre portion of the site to the home improvement chain Menards.
Ford idled the plant in May 2007.
Last week, demolition crews started tearing down parts of the historic Ford plant.
Tonight's meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wixom City Hall Council Chambers, 49045 Pontiac Trail.
