TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Detroit Red Wings Grind Line has reunited this week for a camp for young hockey players in Troy.
Kris Draper was joined by former teammates Darren McCarty and Kirk Maltby Tuesday at the Troy Sports Center. The three made up the unit nicknamed "Grind Line" while helping the Red Wings win four Stanley Cups between 1997 and 2008.
Draper retired earlier this summer after spending 18 seasons with the Red Wings. He'll remain in the team's front office, joining Maltby, who is now a scout for the club.
This is the fifth year Draper has hosted the camp, which is open to hockey players between the ages of 6 and 13.
The camp runs through Thursday.
