CLARKSON, Mich. (WXYZ) - A case of horrific abuse is leaving residents in a Clarkston neighborhood in shock. The Oakland County Sheriff says 55 year-old Edward Woolley sexually abused his girlfriend’s daughter over the course of several years.
According to the Sheriff’s release the female victim was only 9-years-old when it started. She is now 14.
Investigators say the teen told her mother what was going on and she reported the situation to authorities. When detectives started asking questions and looking at computers in the home they made disturbing discoveries.
Intimate pictures of the victim and her mother were found, as was the camera that was used to snap the photos.
The Sheriff’s Department issued a warrant for Woolley’s arrest. They determined he was making trips between the Upper Peninsula and Oakland County. Woolley was arrested by Brandon police and members of the Sheriff’s department.
The 55-year-old suspect faces sexual abuse charges that could keep him behind bars for life if he is convicted.
