ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - A gymnastics coach accused of sexually assaulting a girl appeared in court Monday morning.
Jeffrey LeFevre of Troy sat before a judge in Rochester Hills, accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old female gymnastics student.
The 24-year-old coach was said to be a good employee with a clean background check. He was working as a gymnastics coach at Great Lakes Elite Gymnastics in Oxford for about four years before he was accused of sexual assault.
According to the prosecutor’s office, LeFevre assaulted the girl last month, in his car, outside the gymnastics center.
Monday, a judge delayed LeFevre’s preliminary hearing so his attorney could have more time to prepare a case in his defense.
He will be back in court next month.
