TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - Nurses from Oakland County Heath Department were at Troy High School this morning to test about 250 students, teachers and bus drivers who may have had contact with a student who has been diagnosed with a case of TB.
The nurses will come back Wednesday to check the skin tests and to test others who could not be there today.
The student who has TB has not been at school for a few weeks.
Tuberculosis is contagious through close person-to-person contact, so Health Department Officials told cchool officials extra cleaning was not needed because the organism would not live on surfaces.
