HUNTINGTON WOODS, Mich., (WXYZ) - A bank robbery in Huntington Woods ended with police firing shots.

Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. on Monday. The suspect fled from the bank in a white sedan and was pursued by officers until he stopped on Woodward and deserted his car.

Police shot the suspect in a driveway on Oxford Street.

The suspected was transported to the hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to a news release.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office and the Royal Oak Police Department are investigating the shooting and the Huntington Woods Public Safety Department is investigating the robbery.
