Hydroplane Racing And Carnival Fun at Pontiac Lake

White Lake, Mich. (WXYZ) - More than 100 hydroplane racing teams from across the country and Canada will compete on Pontiac Lake as part of the 11th annual Quake on the Lake.

Dale Hampshire, event organizer says, "The best teams in the country come here.  We're the largest hydroplane race in North America.''

This years event also offers carnival rides for visitors to enjoy, along with live entertainment.

Proceeds from this years event will support local grass-root initiatives and benefit the Rainbow Connection, a charity that grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
