ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - A large crane toppled over in Royal Oak this afternoon as a tree service was working to cut down a tree in the neighborhood near E. 2nd Street and S. Blair Avenue.
The view from Chopper 7 showed a gaping hole in the roof of a garage at a house on 2nd Street. It appeared that the crane had flipped backward while attempting to remove the trunk of a tree in a neighboring backyard.
Royal Oak police say no one was injured in the incident. They say power was cut to some residents because the crane hit wires when it fell.
Vehicles at the home had logos from the Dittman Tree Service.
