NOVI, (Mich.) - A Novi game creator hopes he made the next big game for the iPhone.

It's called FlipShip.

The goal of the game is to eat up enemies by tilting the iPhone. You're aiming for enemies of the same color. You let the automatic firing do the rest.

But that's just the beginning. "Enemy ships of the opposite color present a constant danger, and while each successive enemy destroyed is worth just a bit more than the one before it the points received for such destruction are still at risk until the player flips. For that they'll need to tap the screen, "flipping" their ship into its opposite color and flipping their enemies from predators to prey," says Richard Hoeg, of ByteSize Games.

The game launched on the iPhone App Store today.  Right now it costs $.99.  It will go up to $1.99 next Tuesday.

We talked to the game's creator, Thomas Hoeg, today.

He says he's really excited about his first iPhone game.  Hoeg says he's been working on FlipShip for the past 10 months. Hoeg says he's not sure what he's going to to next, but he's got a notebook full of ideas.

Hoeg added that FlipShip already got its first review. Game Zebo gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Try the game for yourself.  Download it from the Apple App Store .
