PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - Officials have confirmed that the body found in a Montrose Township field is that of missing Troy man, Patrick Mikes Sr.
Mikes was identified from dental records.
Mikes' death has also officially been ruled a homicide. The Oakland County Medical Examiner say he died of multiple blunt force injuries to his head.
Mikes' body was found in a corn field on Morrish Road in Montrose Township on Friday.
Mikes's son, Patrick Mikes Jr., has been charged with murder in connection with his father's death. He was charged before the body was found,based on evidence in the case.
Police say DNA tests show that the massive amount of blood found in the family’s basement after Mikes Senior was reported missing, belonged to both he and his son.
