(WXYZ) - Instead of just picking up the mail today, postal workers all across the country picked up canned and boxed goods to help feed the needy in the nation's largest, single-day food drive dubbed "Stamp Out Hunger".
The national campaign is in its 19th year. Residents leave food on their porches and doorsteps for their postal workers to pick up. The goods are then donated to food banks and other hunger relief organizations.
If you missed out on Saturday's food drive, you still have a chance. You can drop off non-perishable food items at your local post office on Monday.
