(WXYZ) - The attorney for L. Brooks Patterson has called a Tuesday news conference to discuss the August 10 car accident that seriously injured the Oakland County Executive.

Steven Potter's news conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.

7 Action News will have complete coverage both on-air and online.

Potter is expected to address what is being called a "key piece of information" about Patterson and his security officer, James Cram. Patterson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Cram was also injured in the crash and is also being represented by Potter.

The news conference comes as Patterson is moving to a new rehabilitation center for two weeks of intensive physical therapy.

Patterson is expected to return to work within the next two to four weeks. Cram remains hospitalized.
