PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - A 28-year-old Pontiac woman is facing drunk driving and child endangerment charges following an accident that damaged an Oakland County Sheriff's Department cruiser.
The accident happened on Kinney Street, south of Lakeside Drive, in the area of Cesar E. Chavez Avenue and W. Montcalm Street.
A deputy had just parked and exited the vehicle when he heard a vehicle accelerating at a high rate of speed, followed by a crash.
He turned back towards his vehicle and found that the cruiser had been hit.
Police say the suspect and her 8-year-old daughter were both in the car at the time of the accident. Neither was injured.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
The case is still under investigation.
