WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police tell 7 Action News a man stabbed his own brother after a fight at a home in West Bloomfield.
It happened on Crestmore Avenue, near Richardson and Green Lake.
Multiple emergency vehicles responded to the scene.
Police say a mother was inside the home with her two sons and her grandchild. Her 20-year-old son is accused of stabbing her 19-year-old son after a fight. The 19-year-old got out of the house and landed on a neighbor's lawn.
The mother ran to a neighbor's house with the toddler, her 19-year-old son's child. A neighbor then called 911. The 20-year-old suspect barricaded himself inside the house until his father came home and talked him out by phone.
The 19-year-old stabbing victim was taken to the hospital. The 20-year-old was also taken to the hospital for observation.
The 20-year-old will likely face charges for stabbing his brother.
Last month, West Bloomfield police officer Patrick O'Rourke was shot and killed by barricaded gunman Ricky Coley .
