POLICE: Smash-and-grab thief strikes Target, makes off with iPads

TROY, Mich., (WXYZ) - Troy Police say a smash-and-grab thief took off with several iPads from a Target display Monday.

A Target employee heard glass shattering around 11 p.m. Monday night and then saw a man running from the Coolidge store carrying a basket with eight iPads.

The suspect is described as about 18 years old and was wearing a black knit hat and black jacket. He took off in  a gold minivan.
