ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - UPDATE: A dog that was taken when a Royal Oak woman's car was stolen has been found safe.
The bull terrier was inside a white 2010 Ford Edge when it was stolen from the parking lot at the CVS on 4th Street, east of Main at around 1:30 am Sunday.
The Edge has a Michigan license plate. The vehicle's windows were down at the time of the theft.
A $2,000 reward was offered for the dog's safe return.
The dog was located just minutes after a story about the theft was posted here on WXYZ.com.
